Abstract

PURPOSE:To insulate the heat of a treating liquid in a dipping tank when a line is stopped and to decrease the heat energy for maintaining the temp. by the constitution wherein a cover for covering the aperture part of the dipping tank filed therein with a solution of chemical conversion treatment of a painting line is opened and closed by a driving means. CONSTITUTION:An endless roller chain 6 which passes the top ends on both right and left side walls of a dipping tank 1 provided in a painting line and filled with a solution 2 of chemical conversion treatment, etc. and is wound on the sprockets 9, 10 at the top and bottom ends in a cover containing part 8 through a folding back part 7 is provided, and a sheet material 14 is attached, as a cover for the aperture part 11 of the tank 1, to supporting pipes 12, - attached at every other prescribed interval thereto. The material 14 is moved easily and quickly, via the sprocket 10 and the chain 6 by the driving of a motor 15 so as to be stored in the narrow part 8 during operation of the line. The entire part of the aperture 11 is covered to insulate the heat of the tank 1 during the stoppage of the line.

Automotive painting lines have various types of dipping tanks for immersing workpieces in an initial solution and performing predetermined treatments. Pretreatment equipment for workpieces in a painting line includes, for example, a degreasing dip tank filled with a special solvent solution to degrease the workpieces, and a phosphate coating on the surface of the workpieces after washing the degreased workpieces with water. In order to generate , it has a dip tank filled with a treatment liquid whose main ingredients are phosphates and nitrates. Furthermore, in order to perform electrodeposition coating on the workpiece after pretreatment, a dip tank filled with water-soluble paint is used to apply the undercoat.

In all of these various dip tanks, it is necessary to maintain the liquid (processing liquid, paint) in the tank at a predetermined temperature. For example, in a dip tank for degreasing and a dip tank for chemical conversion treatment, the temperature of the liquid in the tank is 50°C to 6°C, respectively.
The temperature is maintained within the range of 0°C, and in the case of electrocoating tanks, the liquid inside the tank is maintained at about 30°C. In order to dissipate heat to keep the humidity of the bath liquid in these various dip tanks constant, the bath liquid is constantly heated by a heat source such as a burner. Even if the line is stopped, the bath liquid is always heated to a predetermined Wr.
It is maintained in IN.

When the dip bath is opened, supporting vibes 12 connecting the left and right roller chains 6 to each other are placed at predetermined intervals on the roller chain 6 over a length corresponding to the length of the first part 11. At the top and bottom of this support vibrator 12, sheets 1 to 14 of canvas cloth or vinyl sheets are attached as a cover for the opening 11.I The drive of the cola chain 6 is the drive of the cover. This is done by a motor 15 as a means, and as shown in FIG.
4 or when applying a chemical conversion treatment to a workpiece using the dip tank 1, the sheets 1 to 14 are evacuated into the cover storage section 8.

When the cover of the dip tank 1 is formed by attaching the sheet material 1-4 to the chain G as shown in Figs. At times, the motor 15 is used to cover the ill 0 section 11 of the dip tank 1 with the sheet material 14, or to retract the sheet material 14 into the cover storage section 8 and sip it when starting up.
By driving the machine, the work can be done automatically in a short time.

Moreover, the sheet material '14 is folded in a zigzag shape.
C, it can be stored in a narrow space. Note that it is possible to use a wire instead of the cola chain 6, and it is also possible to wind the sheet material itself with a roller. Further, as a cover covering the frontage part 11, a large number of steel plates are used instead of the sheet material 14, and these steel plates are arranged in the bunds so that the cover as a whole can be folded into the cover storage part. It's okay.
