PURPOSE:To prevent friction noises from being generated between a supplying roller and a paper, by a method wherein a supplying roller for supplying a paper to a paper feeding means can be driven even when a drive source is stopped. CONSTITUTION:In a device wherein the paper 6 fed in by the supplying roller 3 is fed to a recording head 11 while being clamped by the paper feeding means A, a one-way clutch 14 is provided between the roller 3 and the drive source 4, whereby the roller 3 is driven to rotate together with the feeding of the paper 6 even when the drive source 4 is stopped, so that the friction between the roller 3 and the paper 6 is reduced, and the frictional noise is reduced.
