Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform normal transmission, even if a transmission line is broken, by connecting a master station and slave stations with a duplex loop and outputting data bidirectionally at the slave stations, in a multiple signal transmission system used in a car, for the data communication betwen the master and slave stations. CONSTITUTION:A master station 1 transmits a control code which invites the transmission of slave stations at a prescribed period. Slave stations 2, 3 receive the control code of the master station, and when the code is a code inviting the transmission of a slave station, data are transmitted following the control code. Since multiple signal transmission lines 4-9 form bidirectional loop, the slave station outputs the data on both output lines and transmits the data to the master station.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention provides an automotive multiplex signal transmission system in which data communication is performed between a master station and a slave station, and the slave station transmits data toward the master station at least in response to a request from the master station. Regarding the method, the purpose is to place a master station and a slave station inside the vehicle, connect the master station and slave stations in a bidirectional loop, and control the control code according to the control code periodically transmitted from the master station. Next, data is transmitted from the slave station to the master station, and when the slave station detects a control code from at least one input of the bidirectional loop, it outputs the same data in both (1) directions. To enable normal signal transmission even if a multiplex signal transmission line is disconnected between a master station and a slave station or between a slave station and a slave station.

To explain the present invention with reference to the illustrated embodiment, FIG. 1 shows an embodiment of the arrangement of a master station and a slave station of a multiplex signal transmission control circuit inside a vehicle. Reference numeral 1 denotes a master station, which transmits a control code as shown at 41 in FIG. 3 at regular intervals. 2 and 3 are slave stations, which follow the control code from the master station, and if the control code is a request to send their own data to the master station, as shown in 43 in Figure 3, they will follow the control code. It has a function to send information such as switches read by the own station to the master station.

Next, the operation of the above device will be explained. First, FIG. 3 shows the waveform of the multiplexed signal of the slave station in FIG. 2 when the transmission line is normal. 41 is the received waveform of the line receiver 13, indicating that the control code (3) from the master station is "10000000-.4
2 is a waveform indicating that the transmitting/receiving circuit 16 is outputting "10101000" in response to the control code "10000000" in accordance with the instructions from the microcomputer 18. 43 is the output waveform of the circuit 14 which takes the negative OR of the signals 41 and 42. Similarly, 44 is the output waveform of the line receiver 12, 45 is the output waveform of the transmitting/receiving circuit 17, and 46 is the output waveform of the OR circuit 15.

In other words, each slave station follows the flowchart in FIG.
By outputting the same data to both transmission lines when a control code is received on either input in 4jt, the signal is sent to the parent line without any loss of function even if one point in the loop is input. Since it has a function that allows the wire to be disconnected at one place due to some reason while driving, the normal operation will continue and the operation will not be hindered. Although we have shown an example of a 3A configuration with one slave station and two slave stations, the slave stations consist of at least one I-cho station.
