However, the biggest drawback of this polyolefin resin is that it is easily flammable due to its chemical structure consisting only of carbon and hydrogen.) Six types of polyolefin resins are being considered to improve this point and make them flame retardant. The main %0 is to make the resin composition flame retardant.1 For example, 9 compositions are known by adding inorganic compounds, halogen-based flame retardants, phosphorus-based flame retardants, etc.; In order to obtain high flammability, it is necessary to add large amounts of inorganic compounds, and adding large amounts of inorganic compounds will impair the excellent electrical and mechanical properties of polyolefin resins. However, those containing phosphorus-based flame retardants have the disadvantage of generating a large amount of phosphorus-based flame retardants when burned, which is harmful to the human body and corrodes surrounding equipment. For products that contain flame retardants.

難燃効果が充分には得られないという欠点があった。There was a drawback that a sufficient flame retardant effect could not be obtained.

This invention was made in view of the above circumstances, and is a polyolefin resin composition that has even higher flammability, excellent electrical and mechanical properties, and does not generate harmful gases when burned. The object of the present invention is to provide a polyolein-based resin with the addition and blending of a hydrate of an inorganic metal compound, a red phosphorus-based flame release agent, and heat-expandable graphite.

A specific amount of an inorganic metal compound hydrate and a red phosphorus flame retardant are added to and mixed with this -lyolefin-based resin.
At(OH)s)m madanesium hydroxide (Mg(O

This inorganic metal compound zero hydrate is added in an amount of 30 to 300 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the polyolefin resin.If it is less than 30 parts by weight, the flame release effect will be insufficient, and if it exceeds the SOO part by weight, the electrical 1 Mechanical properties are unfavorably deteriorated.

For red phosphorus flame retardants, use red phosphorus or red phosphorus! A composition containing sX or more is used, and in particular, nine red phosphorus coated with a resin such as a phenol resin is preferably used. As the red phosphorus [P4] for the polyolein resin, it is most preferable to add 7 to 8 weight percent NO to the polyolefin.1 The red phosphorus content of a common commercially available red phosphorus flame retardant is 33 to 85 percent by weight.

In the present invention, the amount of red phosphorus flame retardant added is generally 2 to 200% by weight based on 100 parts by weight of the polyolefin resin.
However, if the weight is less than S2, the flame retardant effect is too small;
If it exceeds 0% by weight, the electrical and mechanical properties will significantly deteriorate, which is undesirable.Also, thin plate-like (scale-like) graphite with a high degree of crystallinity and a particle size of 32 to 300 mesh is used as the heat-expandable graphite. and the degree of expansion when heated is 40 to 3o.

Heat-expandable graphite = 0 when used with chopsticks, but in addition to the endothermic action when the hydrate of an inorganic metal compound releases crystal water, polymetaphosphoric acid is produced by the dehydration reaction of red phosphorus flame retardant. At the same time, it dehydrates the polyolefin resin and forms a non-combustible insulating layer as it carbonizes. Heat-expandable graphite undergoes a very large volumetric expansion when burned, which insulates the composition. These components exhibit a synergistic effect by combining their independent flame retardant effects.

Table 1 Parts by weight It can be seen that the composition of the present invention contains a flame retardant alone and has a much superior flame retardant effect compared to the following acid. Furthermore, the combustible composition obtained by the present invention has a slow combustion rate, and therefore there is little risk of fire spreading to equipment or the like.
