Abstract

PURPOSE:To make use of a low quality oil as a fuel for the diesel engine by a method wherein the fuel oil is separated in a settling tank, the resultant supernatant oil is supplied to an injection pump through a reverse washing type filter after it is stored in a service tank and the dregs of the fuel oil are cleaned centrifugally together with the drains from the above mentioned tanks. CONSTITUTION:The fuel oil is introduced from a fuel tank 1 into the settling tank 2 for separation and the resultant supernatant oil separated from the fuel oil by settling water and sludge contained therein is stored directly in the engine service tank 3. Then the supernatant oil in the tank 3 is supplied to the fuel injection pump 7 through the reverse washing type filter 8 while the remaining part of the fuel oil consisting of the sludge condensed by the settling tank 2, the engine service tank 3 and the filter 8 is collected in a first drain tank 17. The sludge condensed fuel oil thus collected is then cleaned centrifugally and supplied to the service tank 3 while the sludge settled at the bottom of the tank 17 is discharged into a second drain tank 27 where it is further settled and separated and the resultant supernatant oil is supplied into the tank 17 through a homogenizer 29. In this case, dregs remained at the bottom of the tank 17 are discharged from the tank.

Generally, in a diesel engine, after the entire amount of fuel oil in the fuel tank is processed by a predetermined processing device9, it is temporarily stored in the engine service tank, and the fuel oil in the engine service tank is passed through a single strainer using a supply pump. However, in recent years, the quality of fuel oil has become lower, with higher specific gravity, higher viscosity, and a higher content of sludge and impurities (such as catalyst particles). Particularly at Kaihan, the properties of the fuel oil loaded at each port vary widely, and the fuel oil is increasingly of poor quality (containing a large amount of impurities such as catalyst particles and sludge). The current situation is that poor quality oil must be used regularly.

Therefore, the present invention provides a diesel engine fuel pretreatment device that eliminates the M point.

An embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. ■ is a fuel tank, and (2) is a settling tank that settles and separates moisture, sludge, and impurities in the fuel oil introduced from the fuel tank (support). 0 Usually, the settling tank ( After 2), a busifier and a clarifier were installed, and the supernatant oil introduced from the settling tank (2) was centrifuged throughout the company, and the moisture in the oil was further removed.
Clean oil that has been purified for 1 minute to remove sludge and impurities is introduced into the engine service tank (2), but here the complete centrifugal separator is abolished, and the supernatant from the settling tank (2) is transferred to the engine service tank (2). Store directly in -) is a diesel engine, (υm fuel injection pump, (8) is a continuous or intermittent backwash strainer, (@ is a machine I← into a bistank), and the fuel oil in it is ζ and passed through II (2). Impurities, catalyst particles, moisture, etc. are further separated by sedimentation in order to make effective use of the fuel oil, and the supernatant oil is sent to the first drain via the communication pipe H, @, (2) via a homogenizer using a transport pump. Pour oil into the tank. Here, the homogenizer (2) is for decomposing and supplying relatively light sludge containing a large amount of oil. Furthermore, only the extremely heavy sludge, impurities, catalyst particles, and water that does not contain oil that has settled at the bottom of the fH2 dosing tank (2) is removed through the operating valve.
