Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform fitting and removal of a rotary tool safely, promptly and certainly by realizing operation of a cam, which forces a collet to make action of clamping a rotary tool, through a tool insertion hole provided in a housing. CONSTITUTION:When a rotary tool 1 is inserted into a collet 24 and a cam 30 is rotated, the collet 24 moves leftward via a pressing body 26, then a taper face 22 of a cap 20 and a taper part 23 of the collet 24 make close contact with each other to clamp the collet 24, the rotary tool 1 being clamped. Rotation of the cam 30 in the loose direction is impeded by rolling friction between a hole 14 and large diameter parts 32, 33 of the cam 30 together with the force of a spring 28, and the clamping force does not get loose. Since a clamping tool pierces through a hole 4A of a housing 4, rotation of a shaft 10 is impeded simultaneously with the abovementioned clamping so that the clamping work may be conducted safely.
