[Detailed Description of the Invention] The present invention relates to a method for storing river water, sewage, etc. in a mountainous area with old strata while purifying it with soil, and reusing it as irrigation water, fisheries water, clean water, etc. .

It has been conventional practice to artificially increase the amount of groundwater by allowing river water, rainwater, sewage, etc. to infiltrate the groundwater in flat areas such as alluvial fans while being purified by the soil on the ground's surface, and then pump and use the water when needed. However, this method is limited to flat areas and is not practical in Japan, which has many mountains.

Moreover, the reality is that surprisingly many places that lack water resources are in or near mountains.

By the way, in general, there are mountain areas that are made up of new strata, as shown in Figure 1 AM, and those that are made up of old strata, as shown in Figure 1 B.

As is clear from Figure 1A, in the former case, surface soil 2 with a thickness of about 50 crn is deposited on the surface of host rock 1, and in such a stratum, rainwater that falls on the mountain is deposited on the surface soil 20 and on the surface of the surface soil 20. It flows down through it as shown by arrow a and does not penetrate into the host rock 1.

On the other hand, in the latter older strata, as is clear from Figure 1B, most of the host rocks that form the mountains have progressed to weathering and become what is called weathered host rock 3, so rainwater flows into this layer. It also penetrates into the weathered host rock 3, retains water and is temporarily stored, and is gradually drained out as shown by the arrow.

The present invention was made in view of the chronic water shortage in mountainous regions, focusing on the characteristics of mountainous regions made of weathered host rocks. The aim is to purify and store water using an extremely simple and inexpensive method, in response to water resource shortages.

Furthermore, if wastewater is pumped directly or mixed into a mountain stream for irrigation, it will be purified as it permeates through the weathered host rock 3 and will be stored at the same time.

As described above, the present invention utilizes weathered host rock, so the strata are several hundred meters long, and if the strata are deep, it can be stored for months, and rainwater during the rainy season can be stored during the summer dry season. This makes it possible to adjust the amount of water, such as by using water during the snow melting season for the rice rinsing season.

In particular, the rainfall conditions in Japan are such that there is a difference of 2 to 3 months between the dry season and the high water season, making the method of the present invention optimal.

Also, rather than blocking rivers and building dams to store water,
It has the advantage that it does not require construction costs or local compensation, and can be implemented at a very low cost if the water is pumped using electricity generated from hydroelectric power generation during times of high water.

The above-mentioned weathered host rock layer generally has a richer purifying power than the gravel layer or sedimentary soil layer on the plains, and also has the advantage that plants and soil animals in the mountains can participate in wastewater purification.
