[Detailed description of the invention] This invention is an air system that is placed in front of the seat of a car, for example, and in the event of a collision, automatically operates and inflates to restrain the occupant and prevent the occupant from colliding with a hard part and sustaining injury. This invention relates to a cushion cover that can be attached to a cushion device.

Conventionally, this type of cushion cover is as shown in Figure 1.
Consisting of a skin 1 and a pad 3 enclosing a core material 2 made of an iron plate, a resin plate, a wire mesh, etc., the edge thereof is fixed to a mounting board on the vehicle body side (not shown), and the inner surface of the pad 3 has a substantially central core. A fracture recess 4 is formed, and a discontinuity (for example, a knife cut) is made at a position corresponding to the recess 4 in the skin 1 as shown in the figure.
Alternatively, a broken portion 5' (not shown) is formed by continuous notching (so-called force cutting with residual thickness).

Note that the above-mentioned broken part pins are not only formed by notching, but also by cutting slits by knife canting and closing the slits by pasting and closing the slits with another film, or by continuously arranging holes.

However, the broken part of the skin 1 must be shaped by post-processing after the skin 1 is formed, and depending on the shape, it is necessary to consider the positioning and cutting direction of the process, making the processing method difficult. This also causes manufacturing variations, increases costs, and makes it difficult to ensure stable performance.

The present invention was made to eliminate such conventional drawbacks, and includes a band that includes a skin that forms a groove that projects inward and has a broken thin-walled part at the bottom that is thinner than the thickness of the general part, and a core material. By integrally forming these, an inexpensive and lightweight cushioning force bar can be obtained.

In the present invention, a resin skin 1 has a V-shaped groove 10 projecting inwardly and has a broken thin-walled part 5 thinner than the general part at the bottom thereof, and a pad 3 containing a core material 2. The cushion cover 6 is obtained by integrally forming the cushion cover 6 and the cushion cover 6.

Note that the method for forming the broken thin wall portion 5 on the skin 1 is as follows:
A vacuum forming method may be used.

This takes advantage of the fact that when a resin skin is vacuum-formed, if a part of it is recessed into a groove, the deepest part becomes thinner.

The method for manufacturing the cushion cover 6 includes placing the skin 1 and the core material 2 into a predetermined mold having an inner surface that matches the outer shape of the skin 1 having the broken thin-walled portion 5, and then adding a foaming agent. The pad 3 is formed by foaming.

かくして表皮1とパッド3は一体化する。In this way, the epidermis 1 and the pad 3 are integrated.

FIG. 3a shows an air cushion device to which the cushion cover 6 obtained according to the present invention is applied, and 7 in the figure shows a vehicle body side mounting board to which the edge of the cushion cover 6 is fixed;
8 is a gas generator, and 9 is a cushion base fabric that expands when the gas generator 8 operates. When the gas generator 8 is activated in the event of a vehicle collision, a large amount of gas is generated within the cushion base fabric 9, causing the cushion to expand. The base fabric 9 expands due to the rise in its internal pressure, and the fractured thin section 5 of the cushion cover 6 and the fractured recess 4 formed in the pad 3 are fractured, the cushion cover 6 is expanded, and the cushion base fabric 9 further expands. It performs a predetermined restraint buffering function.

以上本考案によれば次に列挙する効果を奏する。As described above, according to the present invention, the following effects are achieved.

(1) Since the fractured thin part of the skin can be formed at the same time as the skin is formed to protrude inward by vacuum forming, there is no need for special post-processing as in the past, thus reducing the number of man-hours and improving productivity. This enables cost reduction.

(2)表皮の破断薄肉部を有する溝の深さ、温度条件、

(2) Depth and temperature conditions of the groove with the broken thin part of the epidermis,
By appropriately selecting vacuum forming conditions such as pulling conditions, the thickness of the thin-walled portion to be broken can be easily changed, and thereby the breaking strength of the cushion cover can be adjusted as desired.

(3)パッドに低密度発泡ウレタン等を用いて、車両衝

(3) Even if the pad is made of low-density foamed urethane or the like to provide a cushioning function in the event of a vehicle collision, the outer skin can prevent the pad from scattering when the cover is deployed, making it possible to obtain a very lightweight cover.

(4)破断薄肉部が溝の底部すなわち外表面から奥まっ

(4) Since the fractured thin-walled part is located at the bottom of the groove, that is, at a position recessed from the outer surface, it is difficult to touch, so it does not wear out even after many years of use, and there is little risk of cracking, allowing it to function normally during operation. can be fulfilled.
