[Detailed description of the invention] This invention is a mold for 1 steel expansion ingot, more specifically, the inner diameter used to cast the upper expansion ingot decreases as it goes downwards, and the outside diameter increases as it goes downwards. This relates to a cylindrical mold.

Generally, this type of mold for expanded steel ingots, in which the inner diameter expands upward and the outer diameter expands downward, is provided with a hakama part 4 on the outer periphery of the upper end to increase the wall thickness, as shown in Fig. 1. However, the ratio (h/H) of the vertical length of the conventional hakama part 4 to the total length H of the mold A is usually 0.34 to 0.32, and thick walls are used in areas where the heat load is large. As the fluctuating part is located and the external temperature of this part rises to around 600℃, there is a problem that the thermal stress generated in this part often causes transverse cracks C as shown in the same figure. .

本考案は上記の点に鑑みて為されたものであって、主な

The present invention has been developed in view of the above points, and its main purpose is to prevent horizontal cracking at the upper end of the mold, and to prevent the hakama part that reinforces the upper end of the mold from being short.
An object of the present invention is to provide a mold for expanding steel ingots.

本考案を以下図に示す実施例に基いて詳述する。The present invention will be explained in detail below based on embodiments shown in the figures.

A mold for an expanded steel ingot according to the present invention is a cylindrical mold A with an inner diameter that decreases as it goes downward and an outer diameter that increases as it goes downward, as shown in Figure 2 and below. A substantially vertical surface 1 whose inner diameter is substantially constant within a certain length range from the upper end is formed, and the inner diameter below the substantially vertical surface 1 becomes a tapered inner surface 2 whose inner diameter is gradually smaller as it goes downward. A sleeve brick 3 is attached over the entire length of the mold A, and a wall thickness of this part is set on the outer wall of the upper end of the mold A in a range extending from the upper end of the mold to the length of the substantially vertical surface 1 or less. Hakama part 4 to increase
is formed over the entire circumference of the mold A, and the outer wall of the mold A below the hakama part 4 has a tapered outer surface 5 whose outer diameter increases as it goes downward.

As shown in FIG. 2, the hakama part 4 is formed on the outer periphery of the upper end of the mold A and the outer periphery of the flat end thereof, and a pair of handles 6 protrude from approximately the center of the long sides at both the upper and lower ends of the mold A, respectively. Using this handle 6, the mold A is moved to separate it from the steel ingot after casting.

As described above, the present invention has an inner wall of the upper end of a cylindrical mold in which the inner diameter decreases as it goes downward and the outer diameter increases as it goes downward, and the inner diameter is approximately constant within a certain length range from the upper end. A substantially vertical surface is formed, and a sleeve brick is attached over the entire length of the substantially vertical surface, and a hakama portion is provided on the outer wall of the upper end of the mold in a range extending from the upper end of the mold to a length of the approximately vertical surface or less. is formed around the entire circumference, the sleeve bricks provide insulation and the reinforcing effect of the hakama part prevents chipping of the upper end of the mold.In particular, the sleeve brick prevents the surface temperature from increasing at the upper end of the mold. By suppressing this, there is almost no material deterioration in this part, and the hakama part, which is a reinforcing part, can be made smaller.
