Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify a motor driving circuit and reduce the cost, by rotating a motor for driving an optical part unit synchronously with the speed signal from a drum speed detecting device. CONSTITUTION:A drum speed detecting device 13 which detects the rotation speed of a drum is provided, and a phase lock loop circuit PLL circuit 14 is provided where the signal from this drum speed detecting device 13 is the reference signal and the speed signal from a motor 16 for driving an optical part unit is the input signal, and the speed of said motor 16 is controlled by the output signal of this PLL circuit 14 to synchronize the rotation speed of the drum and the scanning speed of the optical part unit with each other. Thus, the PLL control for the drum unit driving motor is not required, and the motor driving circuit of a copying machine is simplified, and the cost is reduced.

Conventionally, an optical unit and a drum unit in a copying machine have been connected by a chain or a timing belt to synchronize the circumferential speed of the drum and the scanning speed of the optical system. As a result, the mechanical parts of the main body of the copying machine became large, resulting in an increase in the size of the device and problems such as noise from the mechanical parts during operation.

There is. In this method, the rotational speed of the drum and the optical scanning speed are determined by the rotational speed of each individual motor, so a method is used in which the speed control of each motor is synchronized using phase-locked loop (hereinafter referred to as PLL) control. It is being Therefore, each motor required a motor speed control circuit using a PLL circuit.

Motor 2.4 as long as it is synchronized by PLL control
The rotational speed of the drum and the scanning speed of the optical system are synchronized. However, in the 8-way configuration, each motor has a dedicated PL.
Since L circuits and the like are required, the configuration of one circuit is complicated and expensive.
