この発明は自動車におけるチッピングプロテクタすなわ
ち、車体ホイールハウス下側面のチッピングによる傷つ
き、発錆な防止するために配設してホイールノ・ウス下
側面を棟う樹脂製チッピングプロテクタの取付構造に関

このため第3図に示すようにコ字状クリッグ6を用いて
チッピングプロテクタ3の下端部3aをサイドシルtの
下側接合フランジIIdと共に挾んで固定するようにし
たものが提案されているが、プロテクタ3の取付作業等
は容易であるが、チッピングを最も受は易い部位である
ためチッピングによりクリップ6が外れてしまう恐れが
あり取付の安定性が損なわれるという問題がある。更K
、第2図、第3図の両方の場合にあってもビスjやクリ
ップ乙という別部品を必要とするため、高価なものとな
