Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve thermal responsiveness and to simplify a temp. control unit by bringing a heater part having a positive coefft. of resistance temp. into contact with the inside part of a metallic roller via an insulation layer. CONSTITUTION:A heater part 2 consisting of heating elements having a positive coefft. of resistance temp. is formed to a cylindrical shape provided with electrode layes on both inside and outside surfaces. The part 2 is incorporated in the bore of a metallic roller 1 in tight contact therewith via an insulation layer 3, and both the part 1 and the part 2 are made rotatable. Sliding electrodes 4a, 4b mounted to both inside and outside electrode layers of the part 2 are so formed as to slide on the stationary electrodes 8a, 8b fixed to the center of the part 1, and the leads are drawn to the outside through the sliding electrodes and the stationary electrodes. Since the part 2 is in tight contact thermally with the part 1, thermal responsiveness is improved, and since the part 2 is of self-temp. control type, the need for any temp. control unit is eliminated.

り、熱効率の面から不利な構成であると言え、ローラ一

するようにし、上記摺動電極と固定電°極を通じて外部
へのリード取出しを行う構成としたものである。尚、円
筒状ヒータ一部の発熱量、表面温度に関しては、ヒータ
一部に使用される樹脂の種類と導電性粉末との配合比に
よって適宜選・択するものとする。

動作し、温度調節ユニットを省くことができ、低価格化
を提供することともなる。
