Generally speaking, the inner surface of the door iron plate 2 is provided with a cover for equipment such as a speaker in advance, and a door board 5 is attached to this inner surface, and the door board and the inner cylinder of the iron plate are connected to each other. A waterproof vinyl 4 is inserted between the T1vfort 2 and the T1vfort 2 to prevent rainwater from entering the inside of the car.In the example shown in FIG.

When the waterproof vinyl 4 covers the back of the speaker as shown in FIG. 1, water droplets (indicated by solid lines and broken line arrows) entering from the upper opening 2b of the door iron plate 2 will not adhere to the cone paper etc. of the speaker 6. This waterproof vinyl will definitely prevent this.

In addition, since the vinyl sheet is deformable, there is no particular problem with back pressure, and the frequency response extends to the low range, but distortion characteristics become an issue, and when the volume is increased, the piston motion of the speaker 6 causes the flexible waterproofing. There is a drawback that the vinyl 4 resonates and a so-called chattering sound is generated.

In the example shown in Fig. 2, in order to avoid deterioration of the acoustic characteristics due to the waterproof vinyl 4, the vinyl 4 at the mounting hole 2a is torn and removed, and a specially made rain guard 7 is installed to prevent water droplets from adhering to the back of the speaker 6. It is designed to prevent this.

The rain guard 7 shown in Fig. 3 is made of synthetic resin molded into a half-cup shape with flanges as shown in the figure, and is currently the most commonly used rain guard. There is little deterioration in speaker characteristics, mainly in the upper and side parts. Since the door only has the function of guarding against water droplets scattered from above, it is completely defenseless against water droplets reflected from below within the door iron plate 2.

Since the rain guard 7' shown in FIG. 4 is the simplest one and has a structure that covers only the upper part of the speaker 6, its waterproof function is lower than that of the rain guard 7 shown in FIG. 3.

The rain guard γ" shown in Figure 5 has a structure that covers the entire area around the speaker 6, so it has a complete waterproof function,
Since a small, closed space is formed at the back of the device, there are disadvantages in that the bass level is lowered and the sound pressure level is degraded.

As is well known, it is preferable for the rear surface of the speaker to be acoustically open and for the folding plate to form an infinite baffle, but from the viewpoint of preventing rainwater, it is preferable for the rear surface of the speaker to be in a sealed state.

The present invention attempts to solve the problem of the conflict between waterproof function and speaker characteristics, and is a waterproof device for door-mounted speakers that are installed with the back part buried in the inner opening of a hollow door. A non-ventilated, water-impermeable rigid cylindrical member that is attached to the inside of the door and covers the rear surface of the speaker, and a ventilated, water-impermeable rigid cylindrical member that covers an opening formed in a part of the cylindrical member. This is characterized by comprising a sound absorbing sheet, which will be described in detail below with reference to illustrated embodiments.

That is, the cylindrical part of the rain guard 10 is inserted through the additional hole 2a of the door iron plate by tearing the waterproof vinyl 4, and the flat plate-like addition 11 is pushed back onto the door iron plate 2 through the waterproof vinyl 4, and then adhesive is applied. Fix it using etc.

That is, the waterproof vinyl 4 and the plastic cylinder 12 do not have air permeability or water permeability, and the sheet 13 also has no water permeability, so rainwater will not enter.

Therefore, the bass characteristics are good, and since the thick sheet 13 made of polyurethane or the like does not resonate in the audible frequency band, the chattering sound caused by the resonance of the vinyl sheet can be reduced as in the case of wrapping with waterproof vinyl 4. This is prevented and good acoustic properties are maintained.

The rain guard 10 shown in the figure is provided with a plurality of ventilation holes 14 in the body of a cylinder 12, and the opening bottom of the cylinder 12 is closed with a bottom 15 made of the same material. In this case as well, the sound from the back of the speaker 6 passes through the ventilation hole 14 of the cylinder 12 into the hollow door iron plate as shown by arrow B, so that the acoustic characteristics are not impaired.

If the sound absorption by the cover sheet 13 is sufficient, the vicinity of the back surface of the rain guard 10 may be covered with waterproof vinyl 4 to make it completely waterproof.

As described above, according to the present invention, it is possible to improve both the waterproof function and the acoustic characteristics of the door-mounted speaker, which were difficult to achieve in the past, so it is possible to improve both the waterproof function and the acoustic characteristics of the door-mounted speaker. This is extremely effective in speaker systems for automobile doors, where a relatively large amount of water enters the interior through the gaps.

In particular, since most of the rear surface of the speaker is covered with a rigid cylindrical member that is non-ventilated and water-impermeable, the waterproofing effect is higher than if the entire back surface was covered with a sound-absorbing sheet.
