Abstract

PURPOSE:To avoid the recording at the head part of a tape, by travelling automatically the tape by a certain extent with an input signal cut off to a recording head after detecting that the tape is not wound around a take-up hub when a recording operation is carried out. CONSTITUTION:A cassette half 1 is loaded with a tape wound throughly around a supply hub 3 and no tape wound around a take-up hub 2 respectively. Thus a photodetecting device 9 detects that no tape 8 is wound around the hub 2 and then produces an output. Then an output is produced at a recording operation commanding circuit 10 that starts the recording operation. An AND circuit 14 delivers an on-signal, and a time setting circuit 11 switches a switch 12 just for a prescribed time. Accordingly a motor which is controlled by the output of the circuit 10 is rotated in a state under which no recording is carried out although the tape 8 abuts on a recording/reproducing head 6. Thus the tape 8 travels with no recording for a prescribed time.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a tape recorder using a cassette tape, and the recording head and the erasing head are provided separately, so that when an unerasable part occurs at the beginning of the tape, it is possible to erase the tape recorder. The purpose of the present invention is to provide a tape recorder that is equipped with a function that prevents recording.

In general, tape recorders that use cassette tapes:
As the tape is fed out from the supply hub, it first passes through the erase head position and then passes through the recording/playback head section. Therefore, if a new recording is to be made while erasing the tape in the recording cylinder, the previously recorded contents are erased by the erasing head, and a new recording signal is recorded by the recording head.

However, in the arrangement of the heads described above, the recording/reproducing head and the erasing head are lined up in this order in the running direction of the tape, so that during playback, reproduction is always performed from the rear of the tape relative to the erasing head position. At the beginning of the tape, that is, when the maximum amount of tape is wound around the supply hub and no tape is wound around the take-up hub (initial state), the portion of the tape located between the recording/playback head and the erasing head is It does not come into contact with the erasing head, and once a recording is made on this tape section, the signal is likely to be erased when a new recording is made later.
An unpleasant sound will be generated during playback.

The present invention solves the drawbacks mentioned above in 1) and 2. When a recording operation is performed and it is detected that the tape is not wound on the winding hub side, the input to 1. By running the tape for a certain amount of time with the signal cut off and then letting it stand by, recording can be prevented from being recorded on the tape section between the recording/playback spatula 1-' and the erasing head in the above-mentioned initial state, and during playback. To provide a tape recorder which does not generate unpleasant sounds even when playing back from the beginning of the tape. An embodiment of the present invention will be described below based on the drawings.

This is a photodetecting device that integrates nine light-emitting elements 9a and a light-receiving element f9b. The light detecting device 9 is arranged so that the reflected light from the winding hub 2 is incident on the light receiving element 9b, and the light detecting device 9 detects the reflectance of the winding hub 2 itself and the reflection of the tape 8 when it is wound around the winding hub 2. The light receiving element 9
The presence or absence of winding of the tape 8 on the winding hub 2 is detected by different light meters being incident on the winding hub 2. That is, the photodetector is configured to generate an output when the tape 8 is not wound around the winding hub 2.

The output of the photodetector 9 and the output of the recording operation command circuit 10, which outputs an output in response to a recording operation, are input to an AND circuit 14 as shown in FIG.
The output of 4 is input to the time setting circuit 11. This time setting circuit 11 switches the switch 1 only for a predetermined time.
2 to block the recording input signal from being input to the recording circuit 13. The output of this recording circuit 13 is supplied to the recording/reproducing head 6.

Next, the operation of the above configuration will be explained. When the tape 8 is completely wound on the supply hub 3 and the unwound cassette half 1 is installed on the take-up hub 2, the optical detection device 9 detects that the tape 8 is not wound on the take-up hub 2 and outputs an output. Occur. Then, an output is generated to the recording operation command circuit 10 which performs a recording start operation, and the AND circuit 14 outputs an ON signal.

That is, the recording input signal is normally input to the recording circuit 13 through the switch 12, but as described above, the recording input signal is input to the AND circuit 14.
When turned on, the switch 12 is opened for a predetermined period of time, and the input to the recording circuit 13 is cut off. 17 Therefore, when the recording/reproducing head 6 is in contact with the tape but no recording is being made, the motor (not shown) controlled and driven by the output of the recording sound operation command circuit 1o rotates 1°. Tape 8 remains unrecorded for a predetermined period of time.

According to the above embodiment, if the recording mode is activated at the beginning of the tape, no input signal is automatically applied to the recording head for a certain period of time, so that the non-erasable portion at the beginning of the tape is always recorded as described in item 1. Therefore, generation of unpleasant sounds during playback is prevented.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION In the embodiment, the cassette half 1 is described as being transparent, but it may be such that only the portion corresponding to the photodetector 9 is transparent, or may be a cutout. The configuration described above is highly effective when used with cassette tapes that do not have a leader tape.

As described above, according to the present invention, when a recording operation is performed, and when it is detected that the tape is not wound on the winding hub side, a certain amount of tape is automatically cut off while the input signal to the recording head is cut off. By running the tape, recording is not performed at the beginning of the tape, and it is possible to provide an excellent tape recorder that prevents unpleasant sounds from occurring.
