Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the cost and to save the space with a picture display system of a computer system, by displaying selectively the picture information given from a computer and the video information given from a TV camera to at least one CRT monitor. CONSTITUTION:A fault at a certain area of a control system is detected from the information projected to the 1st or 2nd CRT monitors 11a and 11b. In such a case, the video obtained by ITV cameras 8 and 9 set at the faulty area are switched automatically or manually to a display screen of the monitor 11a or 11b. The screen information profected to the monitor 11a or 11b can be selected by actuating a switch 10 with the commands given from computers 1 and 2 or a command from a keyboard 11c. For the cameras 8 and 9, the optical axes of lenses can be moved vertically and horizontally by means of a joy stick 11d of a control board 11. Furthermore a zooming action is also possible for the lens by means of a lever 11e.
