DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a ballpoint pen tip, and in particular to a method for manufacturing a ballpoint pen tip, in which the tip is formed from a thin metal tube to improve durability and to freely design an ink supply path without being restricted by the diameter of the ball. This article relates to a method for manufacturing a ballpoint pen tip.

A method for manufacturing a ballpoint pen tip from a metal capillary is to press inward at multiple locations on the same peripheral edge of the outer peripheral surface near the tip of the metal capillary to form a protruding seat for the ball on the inner wall, and then the ball is inserted into the metal capillary. Some methods involve caulking the tip edge of the metal tube after inserting it into the tip.

However, according to this conventional method, since the inner diameter of the metal thin tube is required to be slightly larger than the ball diameter, the size of the ink supply core is also limited to the inner diameter of the metal thin tube. Therefore, sufficient ink cannot be supplied to the tip, which is particularly inconvenient when providing water-based ballpoint pens and the like.

The present invention was created to solve the above-mentioned disadvantages, ensure a sufficient amount of ink supply, and provide a high-quality ballpoint pen tip with great durability. The tip of the thin tube is pressed inward over its entire circumference to form a narrowed portion that gradually narrows toward the tip, and the inner wall of this narrowed portion is drilled from the opening direction of the tip to form a ball holding cylinder. A ball holder is formed by forming a ball holder and a ball pedestal, a groove for introducing ink is formed in the ball pedestal along a through hole, and a ball is inserted into the ball holder. After that, the tip opening edge is caulked to hold the ball in the holding part.

Hereinafter, one embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. In the figure, reference numeral 1 denotes a metal thin tube, the distal end of which is pressed inward over its entire circumference to form a narrowed portion 2 that gradually narrows toward the distal end, as shown in FIG. That is, for example, the narrowed portion 2 is formed by performing a narrowing process such that it gradually narrows toward the tip by swaging process (

In addition to the tapered shape shown in FIG. 3, the narrowed part 2 may have a small cylindrical shape with a stepped part 2A as shown in FIG. 4. In this case, There is no need to perform hole cleaning from the direction of the rear end opening.

Through such narrowing, hole-wiring, and groove-forming processes, the thin metal tube 1 has a ball holding portion 8 at its tip. After inserting the ball 9 into the ball holding portion 8, the opening edge of the tip end is bent inward to perform a caulking process and a ballpoint pen tip is obtained.

The present invention is constructed as described above, and the tip of the metal thin tube 1 is
The narrowed portion 2 is provided by pressing inward over the entire circumference and gradually narrowing toward the tip.
This eliminates the disadvantages of conventional ballpoint pen tips, which are made by pressing inward on a part of the outer peripheral surface near the tip of the metal thin tube to form a pedestal protruding from the inner peripheral wall surface. In other words, the inner diameter of the metal thin tube is determined by the ball diameter. There is no inconvenience such as getting stuck. That is, the diameter of the metal capillary tube can be selected based on the diameter of the ink guide core depending on the required amount of ink. In addition, the ink guiding core made of a plastic linear body can be made into a ball 9 with a thick diameter.
This makes it possible to get close to the rear end surface of the ink, thereby providing a sufficient and stable supply of ink.

Then, since the ball holding cylinder part 4 and the ball pedestal part 5 are formed by drilling holes in the inner wall of the narrowed part 2 from the direction of the tip opening, the inner wall surface of the narrowed part 2 formed by plastic working has a dimension of 8 degrees. It can improve the quality of ink and ensure a stable supply of ink.
Moreover, the surface condition of the inner wall surface is smooth, so that the ball 9 can be transferred smoothly, and the writing quality can be improved.

Since the ink introducing groove 7 is formed in the ball pedestal 5 along the through hole 6, the ink is supplied from the ink guiding core sufficiently, and there is no occurrence of ink smearing or the like.

As explained above, according to the present invention, durability can be improved, and the ink supply path can be freely designed without being restricted by the ball diameter, and stable ink supply can be achieved. This is what a ballpoint pen tip can provide.
