    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. セラミック等の硬質のリング部材に対Ｃ軸方向に摺接す
    るようになるメカニカルシールの摺動部材を構成するカ
    ーボン摺動材において、該カーボン摺動材の摺動面を除
    く全体もしくは摺接突起またはその一部の表面に内部カ
    ーボン材より相対的硬度の高いカーボン材になる外層部
    を形成したことを特徴とするカーボン摺動材。
