Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain extremely excellent electrifying efficiency and to reduce irregularity of electrification by running a flexible beltlike photosensitive material in the same arc shape centering a tungsten wire for electrification and electrifying the beltlike photosensitive material. CONSTITUTION:The tungsten wire 4 connected to a high voltage terminal 4 is extended between a couple of left and right guide members 1 and 1 fitted rotatably to a machine frame through adequate fitting members 2 and 2. A coule of front and rear guide rolls 5 and 6 are fitted rotatably to the machine frame at slight intervals to the outer circumferential surfaces of the guide parts 1 and 1. Then, the flexible beltlike photosensitive material (c) is wound around one guide roll 5, inverted, and then extended around the other roll 6 along the outer circumferences of the guide members 1 and 1 to be inverted.

Conventionally, as a method of charging a flexible belt-shaped sensitive material in a copying machine, as shown in FIG. Generally, the belt-shaped sensitive material C is charged by moving the material C linearly in the direction of the arrow d. However, according to this conventional charging method, most of the charge from the tungsten wire b is flows into the shield α, resulting in a disadvantage that the charging efficiency of the belt-shaped sensitive material C is extremely poor.

The present invention has been devised in view of the above-mentioned circumstances, and aims to provide a method for charging a flexible belt-shaped photosensitive material for an SL photographic machine, which has extremely good charging efficiency and less uneven charging. This is the purpose.

As described above, the method for charging a photosensitive material in a copying machine according to the present invention is to run a flexible belt-shaped photosensitive material C in the same circular arc shape with the charging tungsten wire 4 at its center. Since the sensitive material C is charged, when a high voltage is applied to the charging tungsten wire 4, a large amount of corona discharge M1 from the charging tungsten wire 4 is used to form a band on the surface of the belt-shaped sensitive material C. As a result, the charging efficiency is extremely good, and charging unevenness is reduced. Moreover, since the belt-shaped sensitive material cVi and the charging tungsten wire 4 are run on the same circular arc, the belt-shaped sensitive material Since C covers the charging tungsten wire 4, it has excellent sealing properties and has the advantage of reducing the amount of ozone generated inside the machine.
