Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent an excessive spout of fuel prior to an ignition thereof at a breakdown of abnormal flame detecting mechanism, by providing a means adapted to block a fuel supply passage upon an abnormality detecting electric current from an abnormal flame detecting mechanism exceeding a certain level prior to a start-up of ignition action. CONSTITUTION:When a heating operation is started, a microcomputer 3 compares an abnormality detecting electric current A of abnormal flame detecting circuit 2 with a prestored electric current A0 after actuation of electric motor gasfying an oil. If this comparison is found as A>A0, it is assumed that there takes place an abnormality in the abnormal flame detecting circuit 2, an a relay 6 is turned OFF via a relay energizing circuit 5. This can cause an electromagnetic valve in a fuel supply passage to close and actuate a displaying section 8 to display abnormality in the abnormal flame detecting circuit 2. On the other hand, if the result of above comparision is found to be as A<A0, it is assumed that the abnormal flame detecting circuit 2 operates properly and the above electromagnetic valve is opened for spouting the fuel, while simultaneously actuating an ignition means to operate for starting up the heating operation.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a combustion device such as a kerosene stove that is equipped with a flame detection mechanism, and particularly to a method for protecting the flame detection mechanism in the event of an abnormality.

The flame detection mechanism detects when a flame goes out for some reason during combustion and stops the fuel supply to prevent unburned fuel from spewing out. However, if this flame detection mechanism malfunctions and becomes abnormal, the flame detection ms will act as if it has detected a flame and fuel will be supplied, so there is a risk that a large amount of unburnt fuel will spout out before ignition.

The present invention has been made in view of the above points, and includes a cutoff means that cuts off the fuel supply passage when the current detected by the flame detection mechanism exceeds the level before the ignition operation, and the detected current is set to the level. The above-mentioned conventional inconvenience is solved by providing a release means that disables the cut-off means when the voltage does not exceed the limit.

An embodiment of the present invention will be explained below based on FIGS. 1 to 3. In the figure, one senna detects the combustion state,
2 is a microcomputer that performs various processes to achieve a desired combustion state according to the combustion state detected by the flame detection circuit 3; For example, the detected current of path 2 is taken in as a digital value through the built-in analog/digital conversion function, converted to a voltage with a stored current value, and compared, and flame is detected when the current value is determined to be greater than this value. It is determined that there is an abnormality in the circuit 2, and a solenoid valve interposed in the fuel supply passage is shut off via a relay 6, which will be described later. It also functions as a release means for disabling the interrupting operation when it is determined that the current detected by the microcomputer 3 is less than the current value. 4#i is an operation key for starting the operation of the microcomputer 3; 5 is a relay drive circuit that is controlled by the microcomputer 3; 6 is a relay that is controlled by the microcomputer 3 via the drive circuit 5; Controls the interruption of solenoid valves in the fuel supply passages of heating devices such as kerosene heaters. 1
Reference numeral 8 indicates a display section drive circuit which is controlled by the microcomputer 3, and 8 indicates a display section which is controlled by the microcomputer 3 via the display section drive circuit 1, and displays the combustion state.

When the main switch (not shown) is turned on, an electric motor (not shown) for gasifying oil in a heating device such as an kerosene stove starts operating at point (a), and the microcomputer 3 starts operating at point (a).
b) At the time point, the detection current of the flame detection circuit 2 is measured by the measurement unit 11 according to the flowchart shown in FIG. 2, and the comparison unit 12 compares the measured current (detection current) with the stored current value. do.

If this comparison ends at the point Q and the detected current is determined to be greater than the current value, the flame detection circuit 2 is deemed to be in an abnormal state, and the relay 6 is turned off via the relay drive circuit 5. Therefore,
The solenoid valve in the fuel supply passage is shut off, stopping fuel supply. Further, at this time, an abnormality in the flame detection circuit 2 is displayed on the display section 8 according to a command from the microcomputer 3.

On the other hand, if the ionic current is determined to be less than the stored current value in comparison s12, the microcomputer 3 considers that the flame detection circuit 2 is normal and starts processing the output of the flame detection circuit 2 as an ionic current due to flame. At the point in time when the flow starts, a command is issued to open the electromagnetic valve interposed in the fuel supply passage, thereby causing the fuel to be jetted out and the ignition means to be ignited. When the flame is formed by this ignition operation, the flame detection circuit 2 detects the ion current and the microcomputer 3 detects the ignition and ignites the ignition means. Stop the operation at (to) point.

As explained above, according to the present invention, there is provided a cutoff means that cuts off the fuel supply passage when the current detected by the flame detection mechanism before the ignition operation exceeds the level, and when the detected current does not exceed the level, the cutoff means is provided. Since the release means for disabling the shutoff means is provided, even if the flame detection mechanism becomes abnormal, unburned fuel will not be ejected before ignition.
