Abstract

PURPOSE:To contrive to make a blower compact, by a method wherein a diffuser and a casing are fitted in the interior of a reinforcing frame which serves also as an installing surface for the casing, and a motor is fitted in a space formed between the frame and the outer edge parts of the diffuser, the casing and reinforcing members or the like. CONSTITUTION:A motor 3 is fitted to a motor-fitting member 4 provided on the inside of the reinforcing frame 2 which serves also as the installing surface for a casing 1 and is rectangular in front shape. In this case, the fitting member 4 is provided with a slot so that the motor 3 can be slidden. A diffuser 5 as a discharging part of the casing 1 is formed in one body with the casing 1, and is installed in the interior of the frame 2 so that the center 5A of a discharging port is located on an axis of symmetry X-X of a rectangular defined by the frame 2. Accordingly, since the motor 3 is installed by effectively utilizing the space formed between the frame 2 and the rolling-in part 1A of the casing 1 and the diffuser 5, the whole body of the blower can be made compact.
