PURPOSE:To eliminate erroneous operations as a vertical type printer which prints in the opposite direction and obtain easily readable prints, by installing a memory which stores at least a page of data, and printing the data by reading out them from the last line to the first line. CONSTITUTION:Information to be printed is transferred from a storage device 62 to the control section 63 of a printing device based on a command from a higher rank processing device 61. One page of data to be printed are successively written from the first line to the last line in a memory 64 in the control section 63. The information to be printed is successively read one line by one line from the last line to the upper line until the first line so as to print them from the left end of the printing paper when looking the paper in the advancing direction, and a signal is sent to a printer 67. The printer 67 prints the data to be printed in such a way that the data on the last line is printed on the paper from the right end when looking the paper in the advancing direction and the printing is continued one line by one line until the data of the first line is printed.
