Abstract

PURPOSE:To sufficiently bend transfer paper by arranging each pair of the 1st and 2nd rollers on a paper feeding passage with a prescribed interval in the paper feeding direction and temporally keeping await the bent transfer paper as it is between these rollers. CONSTITUTION:A paper feeding device 5 is provided with a pair of the 1st rollers 54, 54 and a pair of the 2nd rollers 55, 55 arranged with a prescribed interval on a paper feeding passage between a paper feeding roller 53 and a transfer charger 6 and guiding members 56, 67. Although the leading end part of transfer paper 51 is stopped by the 2nd rollers 55, 55, the 1st rollers 54, 54 are rotated for a prescribed period to feed the transfer paper 51 and then stopped so as to bend the transfer paper 51 in the direction of the projected curve of the guiding member 57 to keeping await the bent transfer paper 51 as it is temporally. By said procedure, the transfer paper 51 is sufficiently bent and that a bent trace does not remain in the transfer paper 51.

The transfer paper 51 sent out from the cassette 52 by the paper feed roller 53 is guided by a guide member 56 and inserted between the rotating 10th rollers 54, as shown in FIG. It is fed by. The transfer paper 51 fed by the tenth roller 54 is fed while being guided by the curved surface of the guide member 57, and its leading end comes into contact with the nip portion of the twentieth roller 55 as shown in FIG. In this case, the rotation of the 20th roller 55 is temporarily stopped, and the leading end of the transfer paper 51 is stopped by the 20th roller 55. Even if the leading end of the transfer paper 51 is stopped by the 20th roller 55, the 10th roller 54 rotates for a predetermined time to feed the transfer paper 51 and bend it in the direction in which the curved surface of the guide member 57 protrudes, that is, upward. 10th-ra 54 and 2nd
The transfer paper 51 is temporarily held in a bent state between the paper 51 and the roller 55. - Next, in order to synchronize the transfer paper 51 with the image on the photosensitive drum 1, the 20th roller 55 starts rotating as shown in FIG. 5, and the respective rollers of the 10th roller 54 move away from each other 20 as shown in Figure 6.
- The transfer paper 51 is fed by the roller 55. Then the 20th
The - roller 55 stops after feeding the transfer paper 51, and the 10th roller 54 is moved in the direction in which the pair of rollers approach and are pressed against each other, and is fed next from the paper feed roller 53. A state is reached in which the transfer paper 51 can be fed.

If the transfer paper 51 has a thickness that is difficult to bend, the transfer paper 51 with such a thickness can be easily separated from the photoreceptor drum 1 without bending the paper half. The means for bending the transfer paper 51 may be released by temporarily stopping the 20th roller 55. The means for temporarily stopping the 20th roller 55 and bending the transfer paper 51 may be released by manually operating a switch for switching the drive means of the 20th roller 55. Note that depending on the positional relationship between the photosensitive drum 1 and the 10th roller 54 and the 20th roller 55, the photosensitive drum 1
It may be necessary to bend the transfer paper 51 downward between the 10th roller 54 and the 20th roller 5p in order to make it easier to separate the transfer paper 51 from the guide member 57. Part of it is the 10th-ra 54 and the 20th-ra.
It may be configured to have a curved surface that protrudes downward from a plane including the nip portion of the roller 55.
