Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a two-wire glow plug capable of being processed and assembled simply and also of making the seal and electric insulation of the contact between a fitting metal and a heating tube stronger at low cost. 金具1のテーパー面に圧接されるtこめ取付金具1と発
熱チコーブ2どの抜は防止は確実になされるが、上記コ
ーテング層140が剥離したりひび割れしたり絶縁不良
が生じやすく、またコーテング@40と取付金員1の内
周面とは圧接されているだけで接着されていないことに
より機関内のガスがセラミック粉末の端内まで到達しや

心に挿入すると共に両者の環状間隙をガラスシールして
なるので取付金具と発熱チューブとの嵌着面のシールお
よび電気的絶縁が強固にできる。また一端が閉じたパイ
プ状のシーズチューブ材に、先端に発熱線の一端を固着
した中心電極を挿入すると共に、該発熱線の他端をシー
ズチューブ材の底壁に固着し、つぎにシーズチューブ材
内にセラミック粉体を充填して前記中心電極と発熱線と
をシーズチューブ材内の中心に保持しながらシーズチュ
ーブ材全体をしぼって所定の外径に形成し、さらに咳し
ぼられたシーズチューブの後部をスウエージング加工に
よりしばって所定の外径に形成し、先端がわが太く後部
が細い発熱チューブを製造し、該発熱チューブを該発熱
チューブの外径に対応する内周に形成した中空の取付金
具内に同軸的に挿入い両者の環状間隙にガラスシール材
を充填し、加熱してガラスシール材を溶融して両者を電
気的に絶縁した状態で固着すると共に嵌着面のシールを
行っているのでシーズチューブの抜けが防止され、且つ
加工および組付が簡単で製造コストが低減できる。
