Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain efficient loop communication, by providing a means which can communicate plural stations each other at an arbitrary time, in a loop communication system. CONSTITUTION:In the communication from a station A to C, the station A uses a loop back connection toward a station F, and returns data from the station F to the station F. The station C stops the relay function of data from the station A and blocks the data transmission to the station D. That is, the data between the stations A and C is relayed at a station B and flows as shown in the arrow 2. Thus, when the station D obtains the right of transmission and makes transmission to the station F, the communication is done as shown in the arrow 2. If the station D transmits to the station B, since loop back is executed at the station A, it is easily known that the other communication is executed on the way to the station B.

(2) Background of the Technology The present invention provides that when mutually equal stations, such as so-called minicomputers, personal computers, office automation workstations, etc., communicate with each other, they act as two equal parties.
When communicating in a loop on the circuit G, a peer-to-peer loop communication system is required. In this case, at a certain point in time, communication was usually carried out only between a pair of stations. That is, only the station that has taken over the transmitter can communicate with other stations, and the right to transmit is limited to one on the loop. If multiple transmissions f are allowed, data collisions may occur on the loop. In order to avoid this, it is necessary to know in advance the mutual connection relationship on the loop, and also to know which stations are communicating at that time and the vacant sections on the loop, but this control is extremely complex. It is hoped that a simple connection system for loop communication will emerge.

B, C, D, E, and F are equal stations. 1 is a line connecting A to F stations in a loop. Assuming that the communication signal current, that is, the direction in which data flows, is as shown by the arrow, if station A is currently communicating with station 0, the remaining stations B, D,
Stations E and F only relay data.

In this case, even if it is unavoidable that the B station between the A and C stations only relays the data, communication is possible between the remaining J5D and F stations depending on the data flow, but as mentioned above, the control is complicated. . Therefore, in the prior art, the efficiency of the loop line is poor, and if the efficiency of the loop line is to be improved, complicated control must be performed.

(4) Purpose of the Invention The purpose of the present invention is to eliminate the above-mentioned drawbacks by utilizing the loopback function that is performed in the event of a failure of the loop line, easily granting multiple transmission rights, and improving the efficiency of the loop line without requiring complicated control. The goal is to provide the means to achieve this goal.

If the A station is currently communicating with 90 stations, the A station connects the F station as a loopback connection and sends back to the bootara F station coming from the F station. Station C stops relaying data from station A and prevents data from being sent to station D. That is, data between stations A and C is only relayed by station B and flows as shown by the arrow 2. Therefore, when station D obtains the transmission right and transmits to station F, it can communicate as shown by the arrow 3. If station D transmits to station B, it will be looped back at station A, and it will be easy to see that other communication is occurring on the way to station B.

When data is being relayed, the data from the line 29 enters the receiver 8 of the loop control section 5, passes through the AND circuit 9, and enters the 1-bit buffer 11. Here, the data is transmitted to the line 30 by the driver 15 via the AND circuit 13 and the OR circuit 14 with a delay of one bit. A station that wants to start transmission uses the idle detection circuit 24 of the transmission control unit 6 to determine whether data is flowing through the 1-bit buffer 11. If no data is flowing, it activates the frame transmission control circuit 25 and controls the loopback control circuit 233-. The output is turned on, the NOT circuit 21 of the loop control section 5 is turned off, and the output of the AND circuit 20 is turned off, thereby stopping the output ttm of the 1-bit buffer 17. Also, NOT circuit 10
The output of the AND circuit 9 is turned off to block the output of the receiver 8.

Furthermore, the AND circuit 18 is turned on, and the output of the receiver 8 is connected to the driver 22 via the OR circuit 19 and sent to the line 32 to form a loopback. The frame transmission control circuit 25 of the transmission control section 6 sends the transmission data to the driver 15 via the OR circuit 14 of the loop control section 5 at a transmission time m30.

If the opposite station to which you want to send is a station that is currently communicating or a station that is relaying data between stations that are currently communicating, turn Iw3.
The data sent to 0 is looped back and returned to the re-receiver 16 via the line 31. The output of the receiver 16 is sent to the 9AND circuit 20 by the 1-bit buffer 17, but as described above (the AND circuit is off, the returned data is blocked here).

When receiving data, the 1-bit buffer 11 of the loop control section 5 and the flag address detection circuit 2 of the reception control section 7 are used.
When it is detected that the data is addressed to the own station based on the flag address entered in 7, the flag address detection circuit 27 activates the frame reception control circuit 28 and transfers the 1-bit buffer 1.
Receive data from 1. At the same time, the relay control circuit 26
is activated, its output is turned on, the output of the NOT circuit 12 is turned off, and the AND circuit 13 is turned off, thereby blocking the output of the 1-bit buffer 11. When data reception is completed, the frame reception control circuit 28 resets the relay control circuit 26, turns off its output, and returns the loop control section 5 to its original relay function.

(7) Effects of the Invention As explained above, the present invention enables multiple pairs of stations to communicate simultaneously at any time in the peer-to-peer loop communication system, where conventionally only one pair of stations could communicate. The fact that this can be achieved with simple control has a great effect in achieving highly efficient loop communication.
