Abstract

PURPOSE:To heat necessary part surely with a simple device in making partial heating hardening of machine parts, etc. by controlling starting and stopping of a heating member electrically. CONSTITUTION:An object W to be heated such as a shaft part, etc. is placed between two supporting rollers 2a, 2b. The rollers 2a, 2b are rotated by rotation of a motor 4 and the object W to be heated is rotated in the direction of arrow. The object W to be heated is pushed out by a pushing rod 8 of a shifting device 7 provided at the back of the rollers so that the object passes through a high frequency induction heating coil 12. Rotation of a motor 10 that drives a rack 9 and a pinion 11 and oscillation and stopping of a high frequency oscillator 13 are controlled by the controlling data. Only necessary part of the object W to be heated is heated by high frequency induction and this is quenched and specified part is hardened correctly.
