Abstract

PURPOSE: To facilitate extrusion of finned die material having very small clearance by forming a tongue reinforcing part of extrusion die in front of a bearing part and thereby eliminating necessity of undercut.
CONSTITUTION: Extrusion die 10 is constituted of a body 11 and a tongue structure 12. A bearing face 11A that controls external form of an extrusion die material is formed on the die body 11. The tongue structure 12 is formed to a comb-shaped tongue part 13 having grooves 14. At this time, a reinforcing part 13B of the tongue part 13 is provided in the billet inlet side than a bearing face 13A formed in tongue part. The bearing face 13A is installed so that it faces the bearing face 11A of the die body 11 and contacts with a part of the bearing face 11A.
