Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the conversion loss of a transformer by utilizing the asymmetry of the exciting current of the transformer and providing a compensating coil for compensating the irregular magnetism in the transformer, thereby preventing the irregular magnetism of the transformer. CONSTITUTION:When a core is irregularly magnetized, the positive and negative of a current are produced asymmetrically, and the positive and negative outputs of a differential amplifier 7 are produced asymmetrically in proportion to the irregular magnetism. The positive and negative outputs of the amplifier 7 are inputted individually to the inputs of a peak detector 8 for detecting the peak values of the output for each polarity of the positve and negative outputs, and the both polarity outputs of the detector 8 are inputted as differential inputs of a differential amplifier 9, which thus produces an output proportional to the exciting peak value being asymmetrical to the output of the amplifier 9. This output is amplified by a DC amplifier 10, which thus flows a compensating current to the compensating coil 4A, and allows the current to control in negative feedback flowing the exciting current of the transformer 4 in a direction for reducing the exciting current.
