Abstract

PURPOSE: To make plastic strains uniform from the center to central parts and make metallic structure and mechanical properties consistent by alternately forging the outside circumferential part and central part of a disc forging material by means of a flat anvil cut with the corners in the end part.
CONSTITUTION: While a forging material M placed on a rotary anvil 1 is being rotated, a forging part F1 is forged by an upper anvil 2 having one step or two step cut 21, 22 corners in the end part of a flat anvil. After the circumferential forging of prescribed thickness of the part F1 is finished, only the forging part F2 is positively forged circumferentially by the upper anvil 2, whereby it is made into a flat shape having no central walled part. Thence, again, the parts F1, F2 are alternately forged until finally the forging material of prescribed thickness is obtained.
