Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to arbitrarily adjust the temperature difference between the temperatures at upper discharge ports and lower discharge ports, by suitably varying the opening of distributing dampers. CONSTITUTION:A heater 7 is placed in an air passage 6 to face it that extends from a fresh air introducing inlet 1 to the discharge ports 2, 3 positioned at an upper part in a car and to the discharge ports 4, 5 positioned at a lower part in the car. Branched passages 11, 12 are formed above and below the heater 7 such that the upper passage 11 can introduce a larger quantity of fresh air relative to that of the lower passage 12. The distributors 13, 14 are provided so that the amounts of air flow to the upper and lower branched passages 11, 12 and upper and lower parts of the heater 7 can be adjusted in front of the heater 7. The hot air and cool air are mixed at the back of the heater, and the mixed air in the upper part of the back of the heater 7 is led mainly into the discharge ports 2, 3 and the mixed air in the lower part of the back thereof is led mainly into the discharge ports 4, 5, so that the temperature difference in the car can be arbitrarily adjusted.
