Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a pinch valve enabled to use, in vaccum by a method wherein a rubber sleeve is inserted into a valve body, the body is set by a press flange and a constant tension is applied to the rubber sleeve.
CONSTITUTION: The rubber sleeve 2 is inserted into a valve bodies 1, 1' wherein the bodies adhere to each other, and both ends of the rubber sleeve 2 are set by press flanges 3, 3'. Then, the valve bodies 1, 1' are pulled in the axial direction applying a constant tension to the rubber sleeve 2, fixed with two semicircular slit rings having a projection fitting to grooves provided on the outer surface of the valve bodies 1, 1', while an outer cylinder 5 which fits to the outer circumference is inserted and fixed with stop rings 6. Accordingly, since the tension acting on the rubber sleeve 2 of said pinch valve has a function to act effectively as stability, the flow of powder in vacuum can be controlled, thereby enabling the use of the pinch valve in vacuum.
