Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the temperature ripple caused by the control of power application and power interruption, hy controlling the period of power application shortly in accordance with temperature rise of heated object through the use of a time length signal depending on the temperature of the heating object, in controlling the heat of a cooker, e.g. a pressure pan. CONSTITUTION:One end of an AC power supply is connected to a normally opened contact 2a of a relay 2 and a diode 3, and a start switch 5 of automatic return type is connected in parallel with the contact 2a. A heater 13 provided to a pressure pan is connected to another end of the power supply 1 via a thyristor 14. A time length signal generating circuit 15 is so constituted that the oscillating frequency is higher by a thermister 18 the internal resistance of which is changed depending on the temperature of a heated object. The thyristor 14 is triggered only at the time of difference of period between pulses P1 and P2 through the comparison with a reference value generating circuit 16 and power is applied to the heater 13. In accordance with the temperature rise of the heated object, the period of the P1 is shorter, resulting that the power application time is shorter and the temperature ripple can be reduced. After a specified time for start of heating, a main timer 37 is set and power is applied to the relay 2.
