CONSTITUTION:A supply circulating tube 6 connected via an air trap 8 between an ink tank 7 and a head 1 and a circulating tube 2 connecting via a pump 5 are provided. When a trouble occurs or ink is initially filled, a pump 5 is operated to circulate the ink in a direction A. Since the ink circulating speed is fast in the ink passage, the air bubbles in the ink passage are all flowed to the ink tank 7 at this time. The air trap 8 is formed such that almost all of its volume is filled with the ink.
