Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare a polyurethane resin having high quality, by reacting an organic polyisocyanate with a novel polyether polyol composition obtained by the reaction of a specific triamine with a 1,2-epoxy compound.
CONSTITUTION: A triamine of formulaI(the group of formula II is group of formula III or formula IV) is made to react with a 1,2-epoxy compound to obtain a polyether polyol composition which is a mixture of compounds of formula V (aWf are integers of ≥1; x1-OWX6-O are oxyethylene which may have substituent group) wherein the average of the sum of aWf of the mixture is 6W about 240. The obtained composition is useful as a surface active agent and a polyol component of various polyurethane products. Especially, a rigid polyurethane foam having excellent physical and mechanical properties can be prepared by mixing and foaming the polyol together with an isocyanate component. It can be used also for the preparation of a soft foam.
