Abstract

PURPOSE: To carry out rational biological treatment by a method wherein, from an upper part, a water scattering filter bed part, an immersion filter bed part and a precipitation part are successively molded in a communicated manner and a raw water scattering part is provided above the water scattering filter bed part as well as an air diffusor apparatus is provided to an inside or a lower part of the immersion filter bed part.
CONSTITUTION: An org. waste water 4' is scattered on a water scattering filter bed part 3 from a water scattering part 4 and, during a time when said waste water is flowed downwardly along a surface of a filter material in the water scattering filter in a film like condition, about 69% of BOD in the waste water 4' is removed and, thereafter, the filtered waste water is fallen on a floor surface 9 to be flowed into a precipitation part 10 and a precipitable SS is precipitated and accumulated as a sludge 10'. To SS separated water is flowed into an immersion filter bed part 6 to which a biological film is adhered in an upwardly directed stream and residual BOD is further removed in a high degree by air bubbles from an air diffusor apparatus 7. The obtained treated water 14' is flowed out of a system from an upper part of the immersion filter bed part 6 through an overflow roundel 14.
