A sealing arrangement between a cooled cylinder head and an uncooled exhaust-gas elbow of an internal combustion engine, having a flat seal of resilient material arranged between sealing faces of those components, characterized in that the outer boundary edges of both the seal (7) and the sealing face (1) of the exhaust-gas elbow (3) project beyond the outer boundary edge of the sealing face (4) of the cylinder head (7).
