Abstract

PURPOSE: To surely prevent a working medium of low boiling point from disappearing into the atmosphere, in a device for recovering the working medium from a low-boiling-point medium line, by cooling and liquefying the low-boiling- point medium with a refrigerator to effectually perform the recovery.
CONSTITUTION: A working medium of low boiling point in an evaporator 2 is vaporized by a heat source 1. The vaporized medium is conducted to a turbine 3 to perform some work to drive an elecricity generator 4. The vapor is then cooled by a condenser 5 so that the vapor is liquefied. The liquefied medium is returned to the evaporator 2 by a pump 6. In this medium circulation line, a condensation vessel 10 equipped with a refrigerator 9 is provided. A cooling gate 11 is provided at the inlet port of the condensation vessel 10. The container 10 is connected to a working medium storage vessel 7 through a pipe provided with a recovery pump 12. To open the medium circulation line, an inlet valve 13 is opened to conduct the medium to the condensation vessel 10. After the medium is forcedly cooled in the vessel 10, the medium is conducted to the storage vessel 7 by the pump 12.
