Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce a noise from a needle bearing by making a retainer of hard synthetic resin and also forming a small projected line in one body with the edge of a pocket which retains a needle.
CONSTITUTION: The main body 3 of a retainer is composed of a pair of curved bodies in the shape of a semicircle and made into one body to form a retainer the shape of which is a half divided body. The main body 3 is made of a hard synthetic resin such as polypropylene. 4 represents those pockets which receive needles 2 and are formed in the shape of prolonged holes which penetrate both inner and outer surfaces of the main body 3, and a number of them are juxtaposed in the circumferential direction. A pocket 4 has a guide surface 5 of the needle 2 which runs in the longtitudinal direction and a thrust receiving surface 6, on its edge part which form the guide surface 5, small projected lines 7 of the friangle sectional form having slopes 5a running out into the pocket 4, are formed.
