Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a simple printer of high reliability free from ink clogging by causing an electric conductive ink to bulge and fly by the force of Lorentz to be generated by flowing a current through electrodes opposing to a magnetic field induced by magnets in advance. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic field is induced from a magnet 4 to another magnet 5 in advance and a current is caused to flow from an opposing electrode 2 to another electrode 3 and the part of an electric conductive ink through which a current flows bulge by the force of Lorentz and ink drops are caused to fly out. Flying ink drops are attracted to a back electrode 15 by an impressed electric field induced by a power source 16 for generating electric field and adhere to a recording paper arranged in front of the back electrode. Dots can be formed on the recording paper by desired opposing electrodes by controlling a current generator 14. Moreover the solidification of a low temperature fusible electric conductive ink is prevented by Joule heat to be generated by the printer as it is driven by a current.
