Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain good starting performance at the start-up time of engine by a method in which after stopping an engine, an electronic control unit's power source is kept for a given period of time, a DC motor is operated, and a throttle valve is opened to a given opening degree.
CONSTITUTION: In case where an engine is stopped, a key switch 20 is turned off, and whether or not a DC motor 10 is present at a given place is checked by observing the output voltage of a throttle position sensor. If the output voltage observed is different from one indicating a given place, a signal is sent to an output interface 26, a drive circuit 27 is operated, and the DC motor 10 is operated until a given place is reached. When the key switch 20 is turned off, the point 29 is opened, but by a power source circuit 28, a current is sent to an input interface 24, a micro computer 25, and an output interface 26, a power is flowed from the output interface 26 to the coil 31, and the point 29 can therefore be closed.
