Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent fuel from entering a combustion furnace in times of extinction or accidental fire of a burner by a method wherein liquefied petroleum gas in a pipe in front of the burner is conducted to an ejector attached to the burner and absorbed after extinction or misfire of a burner.
CONSTITUTION: The instant that extinction or misfire of the burner 3 is detected, cut-off valves 4,5 are closed and simultaneously solenoid valves 14,15 open. Nitrogen gas or the like is supplied to the ejector 10, thereby the fuel which flows in from a pipe 1 between the burner 3 and the front cut-off valve 4 and the pipe 1 between the front and the rear cut-off valve 4,5 to branch pipes 7,8 is absorbed into the ejector 10, sent instantly to a bent stack or a flare stack and burnt.
