Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve fuel consumption of an engine and obtain its output in a smooth curve, by constituting an exhaust turbo-supercharger in such a manner that its effect can be displayed from a state of the engine at low speed.
CONSTITUTION: The numeral 5-1 is a gas chamber comprising a gas introducing line, branching from an exhaust gas line further provided with a pressure regulating valve 4-2 on way to said chamber 5-1, and a gas discharging line, merged in an exhaust gas inlet B of an exhaust turbosupercharger and provided with a pressure regulating valve 4-3 on way to said inlet. The numeral 5-2 is an air chamber comprising an air introducing line, connected to an air source 10 and provided with a pressure regulating valve 4-5 on way to said chamber 5-2, and an air discharging pipe, merged in the exhaust gas inlet B of the supercharger and provided with a pressure regulating valve 4-4 on way to said inlet B. At the time of starting, the regulating valves 4-2, 4-5 are closed to separate a compressor 10 from a driving source. Simultaneously, the regulating valves 4-1, 4-3, 4-4 are opened to blow gas and air to an exhaust turbine 2.
