PURPOSE:To facilitate the handling of a microfilm photographing device by storing the number of originals of one unit, subtract-down counting the same at every photographing, and successively displaying the number of pockets every time when the count thereof goes to zero. CONSTITUTION:The number N (number of originals of one unit) that can be contained in one unit is stored in a storage circuit 11 via the 1st input circuit 10, and is preset in a counter 12. The number M of pockets is stored in a storage circuit 18 via the 2nd input circuit 17. Every time when originals are photographed, a potographing signal is fed to a counter 12 and a is down-counted. When the contents thereof go to zero, the value of N of the circuit 11 is preset in the counter 12 via a one-shot multivibrator circuit 14, and is down-counted from the preset value from the circuit 18 in the circuit 12. Every time when the photographings of the original of one unit is finished, the count goes to zero, and the number of pockets is successively displayed in a display device 22 via a one-shot multivibrator circuit 20.
