Abstract
PURPOSE:To shorten the rise time of laser output by making discharge currents having value larger than the standard value for a fixed time after starting laser discharge and automatically making the discharge currents having the standard value after that time. CONSTITUTION:The gas laser device is formed by a gas laser oscillator 3 and a constant current circuit for supplying the predetermined discharge currents to the oscillator 3, a power supply with a rectifying circuit 1, a control circuit 2 and an error amplifier 4. In this case, a resistor R1 and a SCR6 are connected to a standard resistor RS, and a SCR gate controller 8 with a timer is mounted to a gate of the SCR6. Accordingly, the discharge currents for 0<t<=T after starting laser discharge are I1 VS/(1/RS+1/R1)<-1> (where VS RSI0, I0: currents having the standard value), and the discharge currents for t>T are I0 VS/RS. Here, I1 is larger than I0.
