The exit light from the fiber 1 is made into parallel beams of light by the lens 4, and the light in the central part is reflected by the reflection plane 11, is converged by the lens 9 and is made incident to the fiber 9. The other light is made incident to the fiber 2. On the other hand, the incident light from the fiber 8 is reflected by the reflection planes 11, 12 and is made incident to the fibers 1, 2. Thereby, the branching and joining between the main line and branch line are accomplished with small loss.
