Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily decide whether color printed matter is a color copy image or not by picking up the image of the color printed matter with a color image scanner, displaying the image thereof, and deciding the difference in color between a reference image and the image to be inspected at the change point of the image. CONSTITUTION:An original picture for reference is scanned by using a color image scanner 1, and the output data thereof are inputted and stored in an image memory 2. The image to be inspected is then scanned similarly and the data thereof are inputted and stored in an image memory 3. The data of the original image and the data of the image to be inspected at the change point of the images having been stored in the memories 2, 3 assigned by a keyboard 5 are magnified and displayed by being arrayed above and below on the image plane of a color image display.
