Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a heat developing photosensitive material for a superior electrostatic printing master by coating a support with a layer contg. a specified reducing agent together with org. silver salt, photosensitive silver halide or a compound capable of forming silver halide by the reaction with the org. silver salt, and a binder. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive material is manufactured by coating a support with a heat developing photosensitive layer contg. a reducing agent represented by the formula (where each of R1 and R2 is tertiary alkyl, each of R3 and R4 is optionally substituted alkyl, the substituent is phenyl, OCH3 or the like) by >=10wt% of the total amount of reducing agents. The layer contains org, silver salt such as silver behenate, silver halide or a halogen compound such as CBr4 capable of forming silver halide by the reaction with the org. silver salt, and a binder such as gelatin or polyvinyl butyral besides said reducing agents. An electrostatic printing master giving a clear image and having superior printing resistance is obtd, using this photosensitive material.
