Abstract
PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of an optical beam scanner, by turning in an even speed a diffraction grating plate that is formed by distributing plural diffraction gratings on a circumference of a circle equidistantly and in the same way and diffracting the focusing laser beam flux made incident to the diffraction grating to lead the beam flux to a concave mirror for reflection. CONSTITUTION:A parallel laser beam flux 9 is made incident to a focusing lens 8 from the direction vertical to a diffraction grating plate 7 to be turned into a focusing light flux 91. This flux 91 transmits through the plate 7 and is made incident to one of the diffraction gratings G1-G6 provided at the position of the plate 7. The flux 91 is separated into a straight going O-order light flux 92 and a diffraction light flux 93. The flux 93 is focused at a point P and then turned into a scattering laser light flux 94 to be made incident to a concave mirror 5. The point P shifts on the 1/6 arc of the circumference of a circle every time the plate 7 turns in an even speed and the diffraction grating to which the flux 91 is made incident is exchanged. After this, a scattering laser beam 94 is obtained and reflected on the mirror 5 to be turned into a focusing scanning beam 95. This beam 95 is focused on a scanning surface 6 to be scanned.
