Abstract

PURPOSE: To manufacture a heat and wear resistant alloy having microcomposite structure especially only at the powder boundaries by mixing superheat resistant alloy powde for providing heat resistance with superheat resistant alloy powder for providing wear resistance in a specified ratio and by compacting the mixture.
CONSTITUTION: A superheat resistant Ni alloy having heat resistant characteristics is used as a super heat resistant alloy for providing heat resistance. A heat resistance high-C Co alloy, a super heat resistant austenite Fe alloy or a heat resistant low-C Co alloy is used as a superheat resistant alloy for providing wear resistance. The high-C Co alloy and the low-C Co alloy are used combinedly. Powders of these alloys are made microcomposite in 5W95wt. ratio of the heat resistant alloy to the wear resistant alloy. The mixed starting material is cold press-molded and compacted by sintering, a hot hydrostatic pressure method, hot extrusion or other method to manufacture a heat and wear resistant alloy.
