Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the temperature characteristics, by connecting the 2nd differential pair to the emitter joint of the 1st differential pair to which the input signal is applied and thus varying the emitter DC current of the 2nd differential pair. CONSTITUTION:The 2nd differential pair consisting of transistors T52 and T53 having comparatively large emitter resistances R64 and R65 is connected to the 1st differential pair consisting of transistors T51 and T54 as well as to a differential circuit comprising a constant current transistor T55 and a resistance R67. The point of connection of resistances R68 and R70, i.e. the base potential of the transistor T52 and T53 is varied by controlling a volume VR. Accordingly the emitter current is varied for the transistors T52 and T53. As a result, the DC current flowing between the collector and the emitter of the T51 and T54 is varied to change the gain of the input signal.
