Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable continuing operation in such a way that at the time of trouble in the controller, fuel feeding is done by means of a booster by installing first and second pumps, and a booster which interlock with the engine in an electronic fuel injector.
CONSTITUTION: An injection nozzle device F provides a needle valve F2b to open and close an injection port F4b, a first pressure space F4b, a second pressure space F4c and a third pressure space F4e are formed inside. A working oil feeder D is communicated through an oil feeding pump D2 and an electromagnetic change-over valve E to the second pressure space F4c. The booster (A) comprises big and small pistons, and forms a second pressure chamber A3 which is communicated to the first pressure space F4e, and a first pressure chamber A2 which is communicated to a first pump B. The first and second pumps C are interlocked with a governor H. Thus, through the change-over valve E and the governor H, etx. are controlled by means of a controller G, when the controller G is in trouble, a stop valve J is closed, fuel pressure in the booster (A) is worked on the third space, and opening and closing of a needle valve F4d is done.
